Half Acre Beer Hates Astronauts

FullSizeRender (3)7% abv. India Pale Ale from Half Acre Beer Company in Chicago, IL. Aside from the name that appealed to me during my visit to Half Acre, I heard this was a highly recommended IPA so I had to try this. Pours a nice hazed golden orange with a thick white head on top. Lots of citrus, mostly orange and tangerine, upfront in the aroma, with tropical fruit as well as bready notes rounding out the nose. Flavor is flavorful, yet bitter, with a bright citrus and mango tropical fruit bittersweet balanced combined with pine hop bitterness. Bold body, with a somewhat thick texture. Good carbonation throughout with a lingering bitter finish. Overall, an amazing IPA and my favorite from the brewery to date!
