Deschutes Chasin’ Freshies

Deschutes Chasing Freshies7.4% ABV. IPA from Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon. Came across a bottle during my visit in Tucson, AZ at a bottle shop last Fall. I could never turn down an IPA from Bend whenever I have an opportunity. Pours clear gold with light off-white head that lasts well throughout. The aroma has floral malt sweetened notes, floral hop bitterness and a sense of kiwi fruit. Sugary sweetness in the flavors along with a bold bitter floral hop profile. Sweetened mango like tropical fruitiness. The sweetness, the hop bitterness and somewhat sweet tropical fruitiness go pretty well together. Medium bodied with good carbonation going on. Overall, a solid beer, just not as good as their Hop Henge IPA.
