Stone RuinTen IPA

Stone Ruinten10.8% ABV. Double IPA from Stone Brewing Co. from Escondido, California. The original Stone Ruination IPA has been “ruining palates since 2002” and the brewery wanted to celebrate the 10th birthday of their notoriously mega-hopped double IPA by releasing a very special version that was even bigger and hoppier than the original beer. Pours a hazy deep orange to amber color with a two-finger and creamy off-white head. Beautiful lacing left behind throughout. Aroma is pine, resin, citrus, and floral hops with honey and biscuit malt with pineapple esters. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness with supporting sweet malt, fruity esters, resinous pine and a dry finish. Full body and moderate carbonation throughout. Overall, a very delicious hop bomb from Stone. This quickly became my favorite in addition to their “Enjoy By” IPA releases, unfortunately, I have not seen a bottle of this anywhere since last Fall…
