NEBCO Attempted RedRum

photo (2)13% ABV. Barleywine from New England Brewing Co. In the spirit of Halloween, I wanted to write about this beer! Bottle handwritten #280 out of #850. Very glad to have landed this brew from a buddy who lives near the brewery. Pours a murky amber reddish color with razor thin off-white lacing that barely lasts throughout. Nose of pure rum which overwhelms and side hints of grapefruit and some licorice. This only makes me wish I opened this on a cold and snowy evening but impatience trumps all. Flavors of strong rum, vanilla, coconut, and more booze! Thin mouthfeel. What an interesting and complex beer.
