Three Floyds Zes Zes Zes

Three Floyds Zes Zes Zes8.5% ABV. Saison from Three Floyds Brewing in Munster, IN. Poured from bomber into a nice 3F glass. Pours a lovely oranger-than-pink-grapefruit with a spongey white head. Excellent lacing that coats the glass well. Aroma has spices, fresh fruit and a yeasty presence. Faint citrus. Taste is of many fruits – lemon, orange, grapefruit, apple, melon – plus chewy resin, a spicyness and some malt. Quite bitter and very dry as you get down through the glass, with some alcohol presence. This is not your father or uncle’s saison – much more assertively hoppy and strong.
