Old Viscosity vs Older Viscosity

I was able to reacquire another bomber of the Old Viscosity (link to previous review) so I could do a side by side comparison to the Older Viscosity (smaller bottle). The Older Viscosity wins by a long stretch! 12% ABV. Double Imperial Stout from Port Brewing Company / Pizza Port in San Diego, California. Poured from ’11 bottle into a tulip glass. Pours black with a thin disappearing head, but left very nice lacing that lasted well throughout. Aroma of more oak and booze over the Old Viscosity which also had some molasses, and dark fruit notes. I sang when I tasted all the wonderful oak and bourbon coming out of the Older V. This one was not as creamy as the regular version, but had a very nice stickier mouthfeel. Excellent brew!
