The only authority for all things beer…

Twisted Reality

9.9% ABV. Barleywine at Minneapolis Townhall Brewery in Minnesota. I had this in a tasting flight at the brewery. On tap at the brewery poured into a goblet glass. Pours a medium orange gold color along with a small sized white foamy head. The lacing lasted well throughout. The aroma is fruity, bready and sweet with a touch of smoke. A medium to full bodied barleywine. The malts are caramel, sweet and orange. The hops are earthy. Lots of orange and orange rind flavors. There is some maple and smoke in the background. Nice balance. Touch of alcohol bite. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. What a delicious barleywine!
