Jester King Black Metal

10.4% ABV. Russian Imperial Stout from Jester King Craft Brewery in Austin, Texas. Poured from bomber into tulip glass. Pours black in color with a medium thick dense dark brown head that diminished quickly but lasted throughout. Aroma of malt, roasting, chocolate, cream, lactose, light ash, and a hint of soy. Flavor is medium sweet and slightly bitter. Tastes of malt, chocolate, lactose, light coffee, and a hint of roasting. Medium to full body. Slick, slightly viscous texture. Soft to average carbonation. Malt, roast, chocolate, coffee, lactose finish. 10.4%ABV is completely hidden throughout. A very enjoyable Russian Imperial Stout and one I will seek out again when the opportunity arises.
