Alpine Pure Hoppiness (beer review)

8% ABV. I chose this beer because I enjoy IPA beers and this to be a well regarded IPA within the beer community. This 22oz brew from Alpine, California uses several varieties and multiple hop additions to the kettle as well as a large “hop back” to give the bitterness and aroma a start. Plenty of dry hops finish it off and give a big hop bouquet.
A: Burnt-orange, nice foam and lace that was well-retained throughout
S: Floral, bit of honey, grapefruit
T: Smooth and balanced IPA
M: Bittery start, but tasty
D: Not as hoppy as I thought it would be, but a very nice IPA
Beeradvocate: A/A (#78), Ratebeer: 100/100. B+. Moneybeer: A-.
